IMPORTANT Safety Procedures for Parking Lot Drop Off and Pick Up
When using Turtle Rock’s parking lot for morning drop off or afternoon pick up, please be mindful of the safety rules. With over 800 students on our campus, we ask that all drivers using our drop off/pick up area comply for efficiency and the safety of all students and staff.
If you must get out of your car for any reason, please park in one of the visitor parking spaces.
The Drop Off and Pick Up areas on Turtle Rock Drive, Amalfi and the school parking lot are CELL PHONE FREE zones. Please do not talk or text on your cell phone while operating a vehicle in these areas.
Drop off:
- Pull into lot and pull up along curb to furthest point possible before allowing your child to exit. Students stay in vehicles until curb is reached. No exiting from vehicles until positioned along curb.
- Do not pull around vehicles already on curb. Instead, wait to pull up to curb from back of line.
- Students exit cars from curbside/passenger side only.
- Parents remain in vehicle at all times. Staff members and 6th grade student valets will assist with doors, instruments, etc.
- Cars should never be left unattended or parked in the drop off zone.
- Once your child has exited your car, safely pull off into passing lane and exit lot.
Pick up:
- Use the same safety rules as above.
- Staff members will assist in loading students into cars.
- Do not exit your car for any reason while at curbside.
Walking onto campus:
- If you would rather walk your child onto campus or at pick up time, please park in our lot or on a neighboring street
- Always use crosswalks to enter/exit campus.
- Never walk between the buses.
